Belfast Telegraph Runher Parkanaur: New women’s running event set for Dungannon area

The Belfast Telegraph Runher Parkanaur 5K and 10K is coming to the forest park on Sunday, December 11 with an 11 am start.

Race Director Michael Jenkins says: “ In its 10th year we were very keen to take the Runher series out-and-about.

“We’ve already been to Delamont Park in Downpatrick, and put on our regulars with the Coastal Challenge at Holywood and the Titanic Quarter event in October. And, looking around the Dungannon area, Parkanaur seemed like a really good venue for the Runher series which is all about participation and providing a platform for women to take on a walk-jog-run challenge.

“It might also suit those who have been on a Counch to  5K programme.

“We’re hoping that entrants will set aside the Christmas shopping for a morning and perhaps even use the event to get over the Xmas parties!” he says.

You can either enter  online up to Sunday night, December 4, at runher.co.uk or thereafter at the Pure Running shop in Belfast or on the day in Parkanaur.

You have to be over 11 to do the 5K and over 15 years of age to do the 10K.
