Run Forest Run: Castlewellan 10k

Published 25/01/2016

Castlewellan is the 8th and final race in the Belfast Telegraph Run Forest Run Series organised by BORN2RUN Events.

Castlewellan 10K is the 8th and final race in this year's Belfast Telegraph Run Forest Run Series organised by BORN2RUN Events.  The atmosphere will be buzzing at this last race when everyone that has completed 6 out of 8 races will receive their FREE Forest Finisher T-shirt.  The race starts and finishes in the shadow of the Castle on the far side of the lake.  The route takes in one of the upper forest trails that overlooks the lake and at certain vantage points a view of the Mourne Mountains that sweep down to the sea.  Watch out as you pass by the Peace Maze, one of the world’s largest permanent hedge mazes and return to the finish via the lake forest path.
