Steelers hit Giants for six

Mathieu Roy and Tyler Mosienko both scored twice as Sheffield Steelers climbed to second in the Elite League table with a 6-2 victory over Belfast Giants.

The Steelers effectively had the game won in the first period as they went into the first intermission with a 4-0 lead after goals from Roy, Mosienko (two) and Fredrik Vestberg.

Roy's 21st goal of the season made it five before Belfast got back into the game through Craig Peacock and Chris Higgins.

Higgins was then ejected for spearing and on the ensuing powerplay, Ben O'Connor wrapped it up.
