New kid on the block Malachi Mitchell-Thomas will be the star attraction at the upcoming KDM Hire Cookstown 100 on April 29/30 following his impressive hat-trick at last weekend's JMF Haulage Mid Antrim 150.

The 20-year-old from Bolton is the reigning Senior Manx Grand Prix winner and lap record holder, but up until last weekend, had amazingly never raced on any of the Irish National Road Racing circuits.

With a strong entry secured for the Orritor circuit event at the end of the month, the Cookstown B.E Racing new recruit and his Mid Antrim 150 Grand Final winning team-mate Derek Sheils will be up against some stiff opposition.

Mar-Train Racing will showcase new rider Dan Kneen and the hard-charging Manxman will be looking to get one over on his former team on the big Yamaha. Ballymoney's Gary Dunlop, who made his road racing debut at Mid Antrim has entered the 125/Moto3 class, and after a confident start on the roads could well be in podium contention.
