Published 12/09/2007

Amy-May and James Garvey enjoyed great success at the Irish National Surfing Competition in Rossnowlagh at the weekend.

James surfed his way to victory in the Under-14 division to become the Irish National Under-14 champion.

James would like to thank Billabong for his clothes and wetsuits which where provided as part of a fantastic sponsorship deal recently agreed by the leading surfing brand and James.

"They have been a great help to me and hopefully the gear will keep bringing me luck," he said.

Amy-May came first in the Under 18 longboard to win the Irish National Under 18 Longboard Championship.

She also came second in the Under 16 shortboard and the Under 18 bodyboard division.

Amy-May is currently in talks with one of the world's biggest surfing brands who are very interested in sponsoring the top class youngster.
