Linfield goalkeeper Alan Blayney produced a superb display to earn the champions a point in their scoreless draw with Cliftonville yesterday. After saving a one-on-one attempt from Stephen Garrett early on, the Northern Ireland international rescued the Blues with no fewer than four similar stops in the final three minutes of the game. Glentoran came from behind to defeat Dungannon Swifts 3-1 and stretch their lead at the top of the Carling Premiership by six points from second-placed Lisburn Distillery, who enjoyed a 2-0 win over Portadown. Crusaders edged out Glenavon in a nine-goal thriller at Seaview, while Ballymena United beat Newry City 1-0 and Coleraine registered their first goals and points of the campaign with a 4-0 hammering of Donegal Celtic.
