Blues fishin' for minnows
Linfield face the prospect of a return date with Norwegian giants Rosenborg in tomorrow's Champions League draw at 11am.
The Scandinavian outfit ousted the Blues from last year's competition thanks to a 2-0 aggregate success and boss David Jeffrey will be hoping for a kinder draw this time.
“We want to make progress and it's tough to do that when you get the opponents we've been paired with in recent years,” said Jeffrey.
“Before Rosenborg, we had Dinamo Zagreb, so it would be nice if our opposition were perhaps not quite at that level this time.”
Among Linfield's potential opponents in the draw are Maccabi Haifa of Israel, Serbian champions Partizan Belgrade and Sturm Graz from Austria.
