Bohs benefit in Coleraine
Coleraine boss David Platt was disappointed to see his understrength side's Setanta Cup campaign grind to a halt at the Showgrounds. But Platt said he was pleased the distraction is over.
“I don't mean to be disrespectful to the competition but now we can focus on the league and our cup involvement,” he said, after watching his side throw away a one-goal lead.
“We were always going to be up against it with nine changes but we started well and Rory Patterson gave us the ideal opening with an early goal.
“Bohs displayed their undoubted quality as the game progressed and we had no answer to that.”
Meanwhile, an understrength Cliftonville fell to a 3-0 loss against Sligo Rovers and, on Friday night, Linfield kept their hopes of progression alive with a 1-1 draw against St Patrick's Athletic.
