Derry's romp to victory
Derry began their National League campaign in impressive fashion with a richly deserved win over neighbours Tyrone at Celtic Park last night.
Tyrone made a couple of positional changes at the start with Joe McMahon going to centre half back and Conor Gormley into the full back line but it was Derry who led 0-9 to 0-6 at the break. The Ulster champions should have been at least on level terms as they dropped the ball short into the arms of Oak Leaf keeper Barry Gillis on no fewer than eight occasions.
