Donald set to make move

Sunday, 21 August 2011

For one reason or another, Cameron Donald has been international road racing's nearly man this season, but the Melbourne lad has enjoyed his year with Wilson Craig Racing and has little or no regrets.

“We've been on the podium at every international race this season and but for a few mechanicals at the TT and maybe a couple more races at the North West, who knows what we could have achieved.

“I've enjoyed the change this year. Yeah, it's been a year of almosts, but I'm rapt I did it,” he enthused in typical Aussie style.

The popular man from Melbourne returned to Wilson Craig's stable like a prodigal son last December.

Despite those podium performances at the North West 200, Isle of Man TT and Ulster Grand Prix, an international top step has eluded him in 2011.

So where now for the double TT winner?

“I haven't had a proper conversation with Wilson as yet, but there's no real reason to make a change,” he explained candidly.

Why my kids feel Olympics are not the real thing now

I did quite well in my school exams, but the only thing for which I can confidently say I stood out like a beacon among my fellow pupils was my record-breaking 100-metres dash.

World must open its eyes and see Israel for what it is

Why pick on Israel when there's so much injustice in the rest of the world? The answer is to be found in the specific circumstances which gave rise to the launch of the BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) campaign in July 2005.

PR machine is driving Sinn Fein power push

Sinn Fein's ard fheis opens in Killarney tomorrow. Like most conferences held by successful political parties, it is a well-managed set-piece. It is a PR event and it is aimed at the voters watching on TV.
