Evans, who has been at Manchester United since signing schoolboy forms as a 16-year-old, came in for stinging criticism last season after a number of below-par performances for Manchester United, particularly in the games against Everton and West Ham.
The 23-year-old from Newtownabbey was even sent off for a horrendous challenge on Bolton’s Stuart Holden, which ended the USA international’s season and saw Evans banned from the FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City at Wembley.
