Bernie Walsh has returned from a disturbing trip to the slums of Calcutta a
changed woman. In distressing scenes which mirrored those in this year’s
smash hit movie Slumdog Millionaire, the Weight Watchers leader — who helped
fundraise for a new hospital for street children — says nothing could have
prepared her for the sheer scale of the poverty.
