I forgive driver who killed my son
The mother of a tragic teenager killed as he drove to his school formal says she forgives the lorry driver who caused her son’s death.
Eamon McIntyre, 17, died in a horrific smash just minutes from his home at Ballerin, near Coleraine after Garvagh lorry driver Philip Christopher Mullan pulled out in front of his car.
An hour-and-a-half before the accident handsome Eamon happily posed for pictures in his tuxedo before borrowing the family car and starting the short drive with his girlfriend to meet a bus in Coleraine to take them to their school formal in Ballymena.
The Loreto College, Coleraine pupil, who was the eldest of four children and a talented Gaelic footballer, was studying for his A-levels and had passed this driving test just three week earlier.
