Fallen boxing idol Eamonn Magee will try and put the year from hell behind him by helping protege Paul McCloskey win a world title.
The Ardoyne hardman will be in the Dungiven fighter’s corner when he takes on world champ Amir Kahn in a super-fight at Manchester's MEN Arena in April.
It was in the very same venue nine years ago that Magee shocked the world when he floored Ricky ‘The Hitman’ Hatton.
Magee’s return to Manchester is just the tonic for him after suffering 12 months of hell. He is currently facing charges of breaching a non-molestation order and harassing his ex-partner.
