Northern Ireland's premier retail complex, Victoria Square, has teamed up with Northern Ireland's leading sporting charity, The Mary Peters Trust, in a bid to support our future sports stars.

The year-long partnership with the charity - which helps young people, both disabled and able bodied, to achieve their sporting dreams and ambitions - officially launches this weekend as Victoria Square will transform into a sporting arena for its Charity Weekend.

Today, an event usually held in Grand Central Station, NY, will take place: a replay of the Celtic Cup where a US wrestling squad will take on the best from Europe.

There will also be 12 taekwondo European champions performing and shoppers can get involved in activities themselves by practising table tennis skills.

Demonstrations will run in the shopping mall today from 1.30pm to 5pm.
