Sleaze for fees: Lisburn architecture student reveals how she sells sex to fund her degree
A skint university student has revealed how she turned to prostitution to fund her studies.
The 21-year-old, who uses the name Britney, says her tuition bills are so big that she sells her body to cover the fees.
An undercover Sunday Life reporter met the pretty architecture student at an apartment off Belfast's Dublin Road which she was using as a sex den.
After taking £80 off us for ‘her time' the Lisburn woman opened up about life on the game.
She confessed to enjoying the cash the red light trade brings, but to also disliking many of her pervert customers.
Britney said: “I'm a student at university, I'm doing architecture. I want to give this up so I can be an architect.”
The unlikely prostitute charges £80 for 30 minutes of anything-goes sex.
“The oldest man I have slept with was about 60,” added Britney, who was dressed in a nightgown
with revealing underwear below.
“It's a hobby. I do it for the money.”
When our reporter asked does she make much cash, she replied: “Yeah.”
The hooker also revealed she has another sideline running a fitness club.
Britney then explained that she plans on quitting the business as soon as she has made enough money.
Her situation highlights how more women are starting to sell sex in order to provide themselves with better lifestyles.
Britney certainly does not fit most prostitute stereotypes.
She is from Northern Ireland, insists she is not being pimped, and does not appear to have a drugs dependency.
Her story has similarities to that of a local prostitute who advertised under the name ‘Erin Kennedy' and who was arrested during police raids on Belfast brothels in 2010.
During a court case that followed involving her two pimps, Ashleigh Beuken and Stephen Craig, it was revealed that the woman was a medical student at a Scottish university.
Originally from east Belfast she had become involved in the sex trade, much like Britney, to fund her studies.
Sunday Life discovered Britney on a popular escort website on which hookers pay to advertise.
After setting up a fake profile we contacted her to arrange a meeting.
She telephoned us with directions to her city centre apartment that she rents out on a weekly basis.
Our reporter cut the encounter short, saying he had an emergency to attend and would be back later.
Britney agreed to this but then texted to say “it wouldn't suit”, adding, “I didn't realise my sister was going to show up upset”.
Britney was back selling sex again this past week, only on this occasion it was from a house in the Garnerville area of east Belfast.
It is common practice for hookers to regularly move apartments between various areas of Belfast.
When Sunday Life tried to speak to the brazen prostitute on Friday about being on the game to fund her college studies she quickly removed her profile from the seedy website on which she advertised.
An embarrassed Britney later refused to respond to any further phone calls.
