Two of the top managers in the country, who operate in different codes, now find themselves approaching their respective All-Ireland championship from a similar perspective.
Tyrone football boss Mickey Harte, disappointed that his side failed to gain promotion to Division One of the National League, views the Championship as the ideal platform from which his team can scale a new peak.
And Kilkenny hurling supreme Brian Cody, stunned by his team’s anaemic performance against Dublin in last Sunday’s National Hurling League decider, is already targeting All-Ireland glory as compensation.
