This is the Ulster-born former US Marine who has manouvered herself into a new career — as a pornographic film star. Dundonald girl Keira Kensley spent 15 years in the US military after leaving Northern Ireland as a teenager.

Now the 36-year-old is one of America’s leading adult film stars and she says her Ulster accent has been an even bigger asset than her curvy 38-26-36 figure.

Porn industry bosses were blown away when they saw the ex-Marine in her first blue movie. And it wasn’t just her 38-26-36 figure that bowled them over.

“They were crazy about my accent,” Keira told the Sunday Life.

“It’s not just the Americans, Australians are also very fond of it and the Germans have told me it’s the sweetest thing they’ve ever heard.

“So I’m mystified as to why I’m one of the very few Irish women working in the adult entertainment industry. I can’t understand it because we’re a passionate, sensual, hot-blooded nation.”

Between leaving Dundonald on the outskirts of east Belfast and joining the US Marines Keira studied at the University of Minnesota.

She loved her years in the military and only decided a career change was in order after a boyfriend challenged her to appear on an online website featuring amateur girls posting sexy pictures.

“It was a dare thing for me and then it just took off,” she explained.

“Basically people started requesting more and more pictures and then a webcam company approached me and asked if I’d be interested in live shows.

“Camming provides almost instant gratification because you are dealing with people right there and then, as opposed to posting pictures online and waiting for a reply.

“I was hooked from the very first second and I still love it.”

But before you could say ‘attention’, Keira found herself in an LA studio where she did her first shoot.

“Most performers say their first time on camera was scary but my work as a webcam girl was the best training ever,” she recalled.

“I was already used to a camera and having strangers see me naked and I’d already learned to perform and act in the privacy of own home.”

Since then sexy Keira has starred in hardcore movies and says: “The one thing I love about working for the adult industry is that everybody loves their job.

“You don’t ever hear complaints about having to go into the office or it being Monday and a long week ahead at work. I think the thing that has made me so popular is that I’m a real person. What you see is the real me — just a fun girl that likes to be naughty and share it with everyone.

“As for my employers, I’d say they like my spark and tenacity and that I can pretty much perform whatever role they want me to.”

Keira is hoping to return home shortly to spend time with her family who supported her when she first went into the porn industry.

A full interview with Keira can be seen in the first edition of new all-Ireland magazine Irish Swingers, which is on sale from tomorrow.

So this week the sunday life applauds pornography and women who make money from having sex. And only last week the where demonising a local girl (Geraldine Agnew) for exactly the same thing. Shame on the sunday life, they have probably ruined Geraldine's life. Ah well she can always move to California and make it as a porn star and sit in a luxury home laughing at all the small minded people in Northern Ireland.
