Red Hands snuff out Rebel attack
Tyrone got their first National league points on the board last night when they ended Cork’s unbeaten run in an entertaining encounter at Healy Park, Omagh.
Owen Mulligan opened the scoring when he cut in from the right wing to fire over a superb score but almost immediately Colm O’Neill responded with a brilliant point from long range. That was the start of a good spell for the hosts with Tommy McGuigan and Martin Penrose both kicking points either side of a fisted effort from Mulligan. They then went 22 minutes without scoring though, as Cork took complete control.
