Sex killer in menacing calls probe
Sex killer Ken Callaghan is to be questioned by police investigating alleged threatening phone calls to a female prison officer's ex-boyfriend.
Cops launched the probe after experts confirmed the menacing calls came from the now closed Prisoner Assessment Unit (PAU) at the former Crumlin Road Prison in north Belfast — where Callaghan was until recently.
Detectives are now planning to question the man notorious for the murder and rape of a young secretary.
The man who received the threatening phone calls is the former partner of prison officer Ruth Oliver.
In April Sunday Life spotted warder Oliver, 45, holding hands with body-builder Callaghan, out on day release, in a Belfast supermarket.
