Brazilian boys will be pitch perfect for Milk Cup

Tourism Minister Arlene Foster has announced that the Brazilian football club Corinthians Paulista are to participate in this year?s Milk Cup. The Minister visited the club in Brazil, and management confirmed their intention to send two teams to Northern Ireland in the summer to compete in the junior and premier sections.

Brazilian football giants SC Corinthians’ Milk Cup representatives could feel right at home on the green, green grass of Northern Ireland this week!

The world famous Sao Paulo club has more than one connection with the Province.

Back in Brazil, Corinthians are on a par with Manchester United in terms of support and with their stadium one of the venues for next year’s World Cup, no expense is being spared on renovations and an overhaul of the playing surface.

That’s where the world renowned local company Clive Richardson Ltd, comes into play.

Craigavon–based CRL netted a contract for more than £1m to work on six of the football pitches to be used during the finals.

CRL's success in preparing pitches for other global competitions including those used during last summer’s UEFA European Championships, has now firmly established them as world leaders in the construction, preparation and maintenance of sports grounds.
