Tyrone manager Mickey Harte does not believe that his team’s failure to reach Division One of the National League will impact on their prospects of landing a hat-trick of Ulster Championship titles.
The Red Hands and Derry were pipped at the post for places in the elite bracket by Donegal and Laois but Harte discounts the theory that this will in any way undermine his team’s provincial aspirations as they prepare to face Monaghan at Healy Park, Omagh today.
“While we made a poor start to the league, the fact that we took nine points from our last five games speaks for itself.
“Maybe it was a little downer that we did not take all 10 points but I would be happy that the confidence levels within the side are good and that they are very much up for today’s challenge,” insists Harte.
