Trouble flares in wake of parade

Trouble erupted in the Bogside area of Londonderry yesterday evening after the annual Apprentice Boys' parade in the city.
Masked youths attacked police landrovers, threw a pipe bomb and petrol bombs at officers and hijacked a number of vehicles. which they then set on fire.
No-one was injured in the pipebomb blast which happened at Free Derry Corner shortly before 7pm.
Police also came under attack when petrol bombs were thrown at the Memorial Hall in the city. Missiles were also fired at officers in the Butcher Gate area at around 4pm.
One male was arrested when a cache of petrol bombs was seized in Fahan Street.
As several vehicles were hijacked and set alight, a woman and her daughter were pulled from their car in the Creggan Street area.
