Win a class trip to Disneyland Paris

Sunday, 25 April 2010

Sunday Life in association with Downtown Radio and Cool FM today launches an amazing competition - the chance to win a trip which will land your entire class in Disneyland Paris.

We have teamed up with Disney's exciting new geneeration festival to give away a three-day trip for a class of up to 30, accompanied by 10 guardians, teachers or parents, flying with airline easyJet to the magical resort.

Flying from Belfast International Airport to Paris with easyJet, the prize package - open to all classes from Primary Four to First Year - also includes accommodation at Disneyland Paris, meals and park tickets. The trip will be from Thursday, June 17 to Saturday, June 19.

All you have to do is start collecting tokens printed each week in Sunday Life and the class with the MOST tokens per pupil will win this once-in-a-lifetime prize. We include the first two tokens in today's paper and will publish more each week for the next six weeks.

We will also be including a special 'golden' token - worth 30 tokens - on the websites of Downtown Radio and Cool FM. Only one 'golden' token will be accepted per class entry.

But you can collect as many tokens as you wish from Sunday Life each week, although photocopies are not accepted. Every class entered has an equal chance to win as the tokens collected will be divided by the number of students in the class.

Each class is also asked to write their own short-story (maximum 500 words) version of a classic Disney words. This can be any twist on your favourite Disney story.

In the event of a token draw, the winning class will be chosen from the best story chosen by a judging panel. Teachers can submit the story they choose with their entries.

The winning class will have memories to treasure as the new generation festival brings to life all their favourite new Disney stars and stories. With chances to meet and greet new generation stars such as Buzz from Toy Story and Princess Tiana from The Princess and the Frog, plus all the other Disney characters.

Our winners will be joined on their trip by well-known Cool FM radio stars Pete Snodden and Kirstie McMurray, who present The Pete Snodden Breakfast Show. During the promotion Downtown Radio and Cool FM will be featuring updates on this fantastic Disney promotion.

While in Disneyland Paris, they will broadcast a special show live from the park with our class so all the pupils' friends and family back home can tune in.

Our search for the class of the new generation will run in conjunction with the Disney new generation festival, which takes place at Disneyland Paris for one year only.

Our trip to Disneyland Paris will give our winning class the chance to experience the TWO magical parks at Disneyland Paris. Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park are bursting with more than 50 attractions, shows and parades. Offering something to every generation, the class and their teachers/ guardians will enjoy a trip they will always remember.

The winning class will always treasure their time at Disneyland Paris and their experience on the new generation festival, which promoted characters from the latest generation of Disney films, including The Princess and The Frog and Lilo & Stitch, and Disney Pixar productions such as Toy Story, Ratatouille and Monsters, Inc.

Pete told Sunday Life: "The idea that whole class can go and share this wonderful experience together is brilliant. I've been to Disneyland Paris when I was young and I'm looking forward to seeing all the new attractions and feeling like a kid again. I know Kirstie can't wait to get on that plane."

Get collecting today with our first two tokens and collect as many as you want. Remember the class with the most tokens WINS!

The West is horrified by children's slaughter now. Soon we'll forget

Bashar al-Assad will get away with it. He got away with Deraa. He got away with Homs. And he'll get away with Houla. So will the armed opposition to the regime, along with al-Qa'ida and any other outfits joining in Syria's tragedy.

Why my kids feel Olympics are not the real thing now

I did quite well in my school exams, but the only thing for which I can confidently say I stood out like a beacon among my fellow pupils was my record-breaking 100-metres dash.

World must open its eyes and see Israel for what it is

Why pick on Israel when there's so much injustice in the rest of the world? The answer is to be found in the specific circumstances which gave rise to the launch of the BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) campaign in July 2005.

PR machine is driving Sinn Fein power push

Sinn Fein's ard fheis opens in Killarney tomorrow. Like most conferences held by successful political parties, it is a well-managed set-piece. It is a PR event and it is aimed at the voters watching on TV.

Why bringing up our kids should be child's play... or maybe it's not

Nurse, the screens! Yup, top experts have issued new warnings about kiddies watching nothing but tellies and computers, while real life flits by unnoticed outside.
