Do you reckon you could recreate the Guildhall in Minecraft - or even improve on it?

That's the challenge being offered to young visitors to Northern Ireland's biggest technology festival, CultureTECH 2015.

It opened on Saturday with an invasion of Star Wars characters and continues to draw huge numbers to the plethora of events throughout Londonderry.

All eyes yesterday were on St Joseph's College where CultureTECH in conjunction with the Belfast Telegraph launched a Minecraft competition.

Peter Nelis, a Year 10 pupil, checked out one recreation of the Guildhall on Minecraft, watched closely by one of the game's Creepers.

Students are being asked to recreate four of Northern Ireland's best known structures using the building blocks from the popular game. They are the Guildhall, the Giant's Causeway, H&W's Samson and Goliath cranes, and Belfast City Hall.
