Medi-Cosmetic, Shore Road, Belfast, 028 9086 1186
Whilst waiting in the beautiful reception area sipping herbal tea, my therapist Shannon explained the process of Vita-Liberta spray tan used by celebs including Holly Valance and Olly Murs. As well as wonderful staff and surroundings, Medi-Cosmetic also provides a wide range of specialised beauty and cosmetic treatments.
Aura Day Spa, Lisburn Road, Belfast, 028 9066 6277
I love an LA Tan and often have them done at the gorgeous Aura Day, which is pure luxury. The tan is lovely and brown and it doesn't smell or stain the sheets. The tan is organic and contains lots of vitamins and aloe vera. Each time I have one done I'm asked if I've been away on holiday, as it's so natural looking.
Coco and Rose Beauty Clinic, Union Road, Magherafelt, 028 7930 0540
When I'm not in sunny Belfast I go to the lovely Coco and Rose Spa in Magherafelt. This is another LA Tan boutique and under the expert eye of Linda you will come out looking bronzed. I host a lot of events in Mid Ulster and this is where I always go when I'm in that part of the country. In fact, I've even been known to drive from Belfast just because I trust them so much.
Bellaire Beauty, Royal Avenue, Belfast, 028 9024 5877
I've always found the tan you get here to be good quality and fades very well – it will easily last you a week. Every treatment you get from Bellaire is carried out with the utmost care and they use only the best products. I always feel welcome when I arrive and I'm delighted with the service I receive. They also do some wonderful deals, so it's worth keeping an eye on their Facebook page.
Tropical Tan, Woodstock Road, Belfast, 028 9080 3020
I always have a few sunbed sessions just before a holiday, not only to take the white hue off my skin but more importantly it prepares my skin for the real sun. A sunbed about three times a week before a holiday builds up the melanin in my skin and therefore saves me from burning on the beach.
If you've never used a sunbed before this is the place for you. They've been in the industry for over 20 years and know exactly how long on the beds is safe for each skin type – even if you wind up paying less for a shorter session. You're in good hands here.
