With Ryan Giggs in his eighteenth season at Manchester United, he also closes in on the title of 'ultimate one-club man'.
With probably another two seasons in him, the Welshman is also likely to set the record number of appearances for a single club with a total that is unlikely to be surpassed.
Others may have played more games, but none were one-club men. These are the players who topped 500 games - and never played for another club.

John Greig for The Gers and Billy McNeil is a good shout aswell.Was going to say Jim Leighton for aberdeen but he played for man utd for a year or so before going back to aiberdeen

Local paper yet no local players? Completely disgraceful but to be expected by the "Belfast" Tele...
I'm sure I could be a one club man like Giggs, Carragher etc, if I was being paid £50k a week!
