Controversial goal celebrations

Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka caused a bit of a stir with his 'handcuffs' gesture after scoring against MSK Zilina in the Champions League last week.

The striker was apparently sending a message to the French Football Federation, who banned him for 18 games because of his role in the World Cup mutiny.

Anelka is by no means the first player to cause controversy with his goal celebration. Here, we take a look at some memorable incidents.
