Tele Recommends: Our top 50 guide to the best of what is on offer across Northern Ireland

Everyone has their opinion. That special place to go for a slap-up Sunday lunch or the sunniest spot for a pint on a Saturday afternoon.

The place that makes lip-smacking cocktails or the most delicious Ulster Fry. The best beach for walking or the most exciting place to bring the kids for a day out.

No one knows this country better than the people who live here and the Belfast Telegraph is launching a search to find the best that Northern Ireland has to offer. Everyone here has a place that's their favourite and it's time to start finding out what and where they are.

Over the coming weeks, five experts will recommend the top five places in their chosen field, be they restaurants, historical architecture, butchers or playparks.

Then it's over to you, the reader, to log on and tell us what you think.

Do you have a soft spot for Barry's Amusements?

Perhaps your happiest summer days have been spent stretched out at Sir Thomas and Lady Dixon Park. Maybe you had the best meal of your life in a little bistro tucked away down a country lane in Fermanagh.

Did we leave something out? Do you know somewhere that does a better cream tea or has the best views that we missed?

Get online and let us know if you have a favourite spot for a picnic or you know the best outdoor market in Northern Ireland. It's time to start shouting about the best Northern Ireland has to offer.

Q&A

Q What is Tele Recommends?

A Northern Ireland has some amazing things to offer and no one knows that better than the people who live here.

Over the next 10 weeks, we're going to recommend some of the best our wee country has to offer then turn it over to you to let us know if we missed anything.

Q How does the concept work?

A Each week industry experts from Northern Ireland will give us their top recommendations on everything from wedding venues to second hand book shops to fun runs.

We'll be giving you five experts and their five recommendations each week for the next 10 weeks.

Q Is that it, or is there anything else I should know?

A No, then it's over to you. If our experts have overlooked a venue, a service or an activity that you think is worth a mention, then leave a comment on the relevant article at www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/telerecommends

We want you to tell us about the best Northern Ireland has to offer — let's shout about how brilliant our little corner of the world really is.

Q And after that, then what happens?

A At the end of the 10 weeks we'll tally up everything that's been recommended — both by you and our industry experts — and publish the definitive list in one handy guide for all our readers. We'll have 50 of the best pubs, clubs, restaurants, walks, spas, museums, festivals, campsites, places to get an Ulster fry and much more. The best part is they will have been chosen by you.
