The Belfast Telegraph Holiday World Show takes place in the city's Titanic Exhibition Centre next week - the first in a series of 15 events secured for the new venue.

The international celebration Festival of Colours and food event IFEX are also taking place in the new semi-permanent venue, which opened in September.

Tim Husbands, chief executive of Titanic Belfast, said: "We have had a very successful first few months with the launch of the Titanic Exhibition Centre and are looking forward to 2016.

"With 15 shows lined up already, including significant repeat business, we are pleased that the Titanic Exhibition Centre is playing a key role in maintaining Belfast's position as a leading events and exhibitions destination."

The Wedding Journal Show takes place from January 29 to 31, while Self Build Ireland's Love Your Home arrives from February 12 to February 14.

Clive Corry, managing director of Self Build Ireland - which holds information events for people thinking about building their own homes - said: "Our first event in October was well up in both exhibitor and visitor numbers.

"Our biggest show comes next, SelfBuild & Improve Your Home, with 250 exhibitors, and our target is to hit 20,000 visitors."

Belfast Telegraph Holiday World will run from January 15 to January 17 at the Titanic Exhibition Centre.

Exhibitors include Algarve Tourism Bureau, ASL Airlines France, Balkan Holidays, Botswana Tourism, Eze Europe, Jamaica Tourist Board, Bike N Ride Holidays and Play Florida Golf and Travel Tickets and Tours.
