Video: Sinn Fein's Michelle O'Neill's seeking 'special status' for Northern Ireland before Article 50 is triggered
Sinn Fein's Northern Leader Michelle O'Neill said on Monday she would be prepared to meet Prime Minister Teresa May on an expected visit to Northern Ireland later this week.
But she said she would be making it clear to her that Sinn Fein were on the side of those here who voted to remain in the European Union.
Mrs May is to visit NI, as well as Scotland and Wales, before she triggers Article 50 next Wednesday and starts the formal process of the UK leaving the EU.
"We have said consistently that we require special designated status and if I meet here I'll be telling her that," said Ms O'Neill.
