Revellers descended on the streets of Killorglin, County Kerry, on August 10, for the opening day of a festival that claims to be one of the oldest in Ireland. The Puck Fair festival sees a wild goat being hoisted 60 feet above the town square and crowned king of the town for three days. The 400-year-old tradition has attracted some criticism from animal-rights campaigners This video shows the coronation of King Puck and an interview with the newly-crowned Queen Puck, a 12-year-old girl from the local area.
