Video: Ulster facing 'three cup finals' to keep season alive, warns Andrew Trimble

By Kirsten Elder

Ulster captain Andrew Trimble says it's time to answer their critics in the first of "three cup finals".

The province travel to Thomond Park, Limerick on Saturday  for a derby clash with Munster knowing a loss could signal the end of their PRO12 hopes for another season after last weekend's dropped points at home to Cardiff in a 24-24 draw.

It's the toughest possible finish for Ulster because after Munster on Saturday they are away to Ospreys and at home to Leinster, the Pro12 League's top three.

"It's three cup finals in our three games from here on and it's last chance for us," warned Trimble. "We have to show how good we can be because we still believe it.

"A lot of people don't and that's because we haven't proved it. We're under pressure and we need to produce a big performance.

"There's a lot of character in this team, there's a lot of stuff people haven't seen.

"We know we can be good on our day but we have to dig deep and be brave. Hopefully that produces a big performance because there's no other option."
