I'll be the killjoy, please remember to use sun lotion, bright red faces and shoulders just look so painful as well as not being very good for you.

Cooooooool, Seems funny that you are calling 24 Degrees a heat wave, Us ex pats down under in Perth WA call that mild . We reach to 42 degrees in Mid Summer. But lucky you we have heavy rain at the moment . Good on you all enjoy. Photos look good.

Lucky buggers, winter here and we are freezing at 23 degrees. Bring on Summer and 33-40 degrees. Nice pictures of your beach.

I find the name 'Plum' to be more amazing ! I suppose your surname is Bob. Are you all still enjoying the heat ?
Posted by Denis | 12.06.09, 14:06 GMT
Denis, is your surname really 'Sydney Australia'? That's amazing!

It really made me think back to my youth before the Troubles. I left Northern Ireland some 30 years ago for Australia. It's great to see the people of Belfast smile with such vigour and happiness. Although I don't remember the girls being so good looking then !

Kids cooling down in the blistering heat wave by running through a burst fire hydrant in west Belfast or so says the caption for photograph number 19. Dont these people realise that such actions leave the surrounding area short of water for both domestic and fire fighting purposes?
