Allison Williams has been tapped as the new face of Simple Skincare.
The Girls star is the new face of the global beauty brand.
Allison has recently completed her first commercial for Simple in Los Angeles. The advert shows a day in the life of her skincare routine, which is pretty accurate to the everyday cleansing procedure she follows.
“It kind of documents a typical day - on my way to work in the morning, getting ready and washing my face, all the way through the end of the day when I take my make-up off and relax," Allison revealed to People.
“Lately I find myself working quite a bit - it’s such a blessing, but I have a fantasy that I’ll go back to a time when I’m not in hair and make-up every day!”
Allison continued to share her somewhat strange beauty rituals. These include washing her face while mid-flight, choosing to remain in her seat rather than use the bathroom.
“When I fly, halfway through the flight, I like to give myself a face wash,” Allison laughed. “I just sit there and turn toward the window and use a wipe!"
Pairing with Simple was ideal for Allison, as the brand's sensibilities match her own. The concept was a no-brainer for her as she has sensitive skin, making Simple an ideal range for her to use.
“I do have sensitive skin, actually, and it’s been really hard to find products that don’t make it inflamed, or red or dry, or make it break out,” she revealed. “It’s really complicated, but I’ve learned that it’s the case for more people than not. I don’t know how many people have unproblematic skin - that’s rare.”
Allison moaned that the acting profession is the cause of many of her skin problems. Constantly having make-up applied and reapplied on set is a nightmare for problematic complexions like hers.
“If you’re an actress - and in some cases, this goes for all women - the only thing you can control about your skin is what you put on your face at the beginning of the day, and what you do when you take your make-up off,” she said. “Otherwise, it’s affected by stress, make-up artists, weather, pollution. The great thing about Simple products is that they protect you against those things - you can wipe it all off at the end of the day.”
