Amber Riley: Healthy eating helped me

Amber Riley has dropped two dress sizes from "eating healthier".

The Glee star has been wowing on the red carpet of late. She turned heads when she arrived in a blue sequin gown at the NAACP Image Awards earlier this month.

Amber says her recent weight loss is a result of revamping her diet habits after stomach pains made her take a visit to the doctor.

"I decided I was going to make a change and eat healthier," she revealed to People magazine, before adding she cut out fast food as it was "attacking [her] stomach".

Amber started the new healthy eating regime last July and she is thrilled with the results.

"I dropped two dress sizes!" she exclaimed.

Since shedding her excess weight, dressing for red carpets has been a little easier. The 26-year-old star feels more confident in the glittering gowns.

"I'm a lot more comfortable in dresses, especially gowns," she revealed.

The actress also revealed that Glee's costume department has had to make allowances for her trimmer figure

"We had to revamp the wardrobe. They bought a lot of new clothes for me and we have to take in a lot of my pants and dresses," she smiled.

Amber is happy with her new figure. However the star insists she has always been body confident.

"I've always been comfortable with my size. I just decided it was time to get healthy," she explained.
