Angelina Jolie is "the Queen of the red carpet", says celebrity make-up artist Bruce Grayson says

The beauty stunned at the Golden Globes recently with her modern take on the smoky eye and bright red lipstick, and Bruce has revealed how to re-create the look at home.

He insists the Hollywood beauty has no competition when it comes to award ceremonies as she is the "the Queen of the red carpet".

"Dot a grey eyeliner pencil along the base line of your lashes. Then take a blending brush or a Q-tip and run those dots together. Never use the point of the pencil, use the side when you blur or diffuse the eyeshadow together," Bruce told website Beauty High .

The make-up artist added that it depends on your eye shape and personal preference how far you draw the cat eyeliner. He advised to finish off the look with a subtle stroke of cake liner on the inside corner of your upper lashline.

"Blend it where you want," he said.

The celebrity beauty expert also told the publication how to achieve a dewy complexion like My Week With Marylin star Michelle Williams. Advising that the most important step is to prep and prime the skin, Bruce said he used a light moisturising foundation as the base.

Using a stiff brush, he then applied a thicker foundation down the centre of the face for further coverage.

To achieve the radiant sheen, Bruce revealed he uses a beauty blender or a non-latex sponge sprayed with Avene Thermal Spring Water and blends concealer into the skin where needed.

To complete the fresh-faced look, Bruce applies a cream blush across the apples of the cheeks and dabs the area with Olay Regenerist Cream for a sheer finish.
