Beyoncé Knowles claims she has "literally danced a thousand miles" in shoes by designer Stuart Weitzman.
The pop star gushed about the creations of the footwear designer as she presented him with a lifetime achievement award earlier this week.
Although Beyoncé wasn't able to attend the event, she appeared in a video clip to discuss the impact of Stuart's creations on her life.
"I always enjoy collaborating with Stuart on shoes for my performances," she explained. "My performances can last more than two hours sometimes so I need comfort as well as style. After countless tours, TV performances and special concerts I have literally danced a thousand miles in his beautiful shoes. It gives me great pleasure to congratulate Stuart on this wonderful achievement."
Beyoncé is known for her sequins, sparkle and shine and she confessed that these elements first drew her to Stuart's shoe designs. The star continued to reveal how she has since developed a close friendship with the trusted footwear maker.
"I am deeply honoured to present this lifetime achievement award," Beyoncé smiled on the video clip. "From towering heels to intricately decorated crystal designs, I have always admired his work. When I first met Stuart I was drawn to his warmth and passion for his craft, as well as the comfort of his heels. His creations are a reflection of his genuine, beautiful personality."
The stylish singer explained how important a comfortable yet fashionable shoe is for not only her performances, but for everyday life as well. She revealed that it is not every shoe designer who can rise to the challenge of making something that she can dance and dazzle in during her performances.
"From stage to red carpet to everyday wear, he has added comfort and style to not only my lifestyle but to many women's around the world," she finished. "Congratulations Stuart on a lifetime of making women feel beautifully elegant and at ease in our heels."
