Blake Lively has revealed she finds putting together an outfit "creatively fulfilling".

The actress explained why she chooses not to use the services of a stylist when she gets ready for events.

Blake claims that although it can be a lot of work to get red carpet ready, it is a process she thoroughly enjoys.

"No one knows my style better than me," Blake revealed to British ELLE magazine. "It can be a lot of work but it's creatively fulfilling and a form of self-expression. I look online to pull something together for an event."

The star revealed she also gets inspiration for her outfits from her friends. She says Florence and the Machine singer Florence Welch is someone whose style she particularly admires.

"A great source of inspiration is my best friend Florence Welch. She's a real-life fairy: elegant, timeless and her fashion choices are daring but never for shock value," Blake gushed. "When she comes over to my apartment, we dress up in my shoe closet. We wear every hat I own and stack them on top of one another."

The Gossip Girl star and face of luxury designer perfume Gucci declared her interest in clothes started at a young age. Blake joked that she was only three years old when she realised how a good dress can transform you into something special.

"My most perfect dress was black and hot pink with bows on the waistband and a tulle skirt - and I was three years old," Blake laughed. "I would just twirl and twirl in that dress. I actually felt like I had special powers when I wore it."
