Blake Lively's reported rift with Chanel is unfounded, say sources.
The Gossip Girl star is an ambassador for the luxury fashion house, having appeared in ads for their Mademoiselle handbag last year.
Blake was rumoured to have fallen out with Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld after missing a couture show last month, and is also said to have angered the label after she signed with their rival Gucci to be the face of their new fragrance.
However, insiders insist the rift rumours are rubbish.
"Blake is still an ambassador to Chanel and regularly keeps in touch with designer Karl Lagerfeld," sources revealed to the New York Post. "She was invited to the couture show but couldn't make it because she was promoting [new film] Savages. She still wears Chanel whenever she can."
In the last year Blake has increased her reputation as a fashion icon. Last year, the stunning actress hit the big time with her adverts for Chanel's Mademoiselle handbag line where she told reporters at the launch of the campaign about her love for the high-end brand.
"I had other opportunities, and I would say, 'Thank you so much, but I am holding out for Chanel . . . That's who I want to be the face of,' and people would say, 'Well, that's unrealistic. They only hire Europeans,' and I said, 'Well, how great. I'll be the first then,'" she gushed at the time.
Representatives at Chanel have not commented on the story.
