Cara Theobold would "kill to wear Lady Mary's costumes" in Downton Abbey.
The 22-year-old actress gets severe wardrobe envy when she sees some of the fantastic pieces the other females wear on the set of the period drama.
The British star, who plays flirty kitchen maid Ivy Stuart in the award-winning TV show, admits the outfits her character dons are much less glamorous than she would ideally like.
"I'd kill to wear Lady Mary's costumes," Cara joked to British magazine Grazia about the upper class character's impressive ensembles.
Despite her unglamorous get-up in Downton Abbey, Cara still feels lucky to have landed the role as her first big break. The British TV series has become a worldwide hit, and Cara is hopeful that it won't be long till she is cast in a "princess" role where she too can wear the best frocks.
"I do get jealous because the dresses the upstairs cast wear are so beautiful. Ivy has her one dress and it takes five minutes to do my horrible scraped back bun. I'd love to be wearing Lady Mary's costumes..." Cara said. "But this is only my first jobs, so hopefully, in a few roles' time, I'll get to play a princess."
Lady Mary is portrayed by Michelle Dockery in the programme.
