Carrie Underwood works out when she hasn't got anything more interesting to do.
The country songstress boasts a stunningly svelte figure, which is the result of sporadic gym trips and energetic stage performances.
Carrie enjoys exercising from time-to-time but doesn't obsess about following a rigorous routine.
"I go to the gym as much as possible but it depends on what my life is like. When I'm on tour I spend a lot of time in the gym because there is not a whole lot else to do and my days are pretty filled up so we can't go anywhere - so I work out," she told British newspaper The Sun in a web chat.
"I do a lot of body weights and I love to run - I'm a semi-athletic person. I played softball for about nine years and for six of those I was a catcher, so I was pretty much in squat position continuously."
Carrie leads a healthy lifestyle. The blonde beauty feels more energised when she's looking after her body.
"I try the best I can. I love eating healthy and fitness and all that, I love being conscious because when my body runs better I don't have to worry about it and I can do what I want to do and feel good about it," she said. "That said, I do love a nice dinner out, so I have a really nice balance of taking care of myself and enjoying life."
