Celebrity beauty no-no's
Saturday Feb 4 2012
Celebrity make-up artist Paul Gooch has revealed his "biggest beauty no-no".
The beauty pro has worked with a host of stars including Hollywood beauty Reese Witherspoon. Paul knows how to use products to their full potential and says women should know how to apply make-up to suit their skin.
"My biggest beauty no-no is heavy make-up around eyes on older skin - it just emphasises wrinkles," he revealed in an interview with Closer magazine. "Use brown instead of black eyeliner and mascara. For a dramatic look, try bold lips instead of smoky eyes."
Paul knows how to create flawless red carpet-ready skin. He has revealed his "secret skin saviour".
"Steamcream," he admitted. "It's a really gentle cream that helps to create a smooth, moisturised base to work with."
False eyelashes are the perfect red carpet accessory. Paul has revealed his failsafe way of applying them.
"Apply falsies by drawing on your eyeliner first, flicking it up at the outer corners," he advised. "Glue the false lash over this line, and take it up at the corner, away from your natural line."
