Celebrity stylist reveals secret to great hair
Sunday Feb 12 2012
Julia Roberts' hairstylist says in order to get a "great cut" you need to show your hairstylist "references".
Serge Normant has styled movie stars including Julia and Blake Lively and has explained achieving a fabulous look is all about communication. The hair pro said that you should bring magazine tears and pictures to illustrate your wishes at the salon.
"To get a great cut, always bring references to your hairdresser. Even if the styles seem unachievable, it's about communicating and explaining what you are looking for. I promise you it's very helpful," he told the UK edition of Glamour magazine.
Serge also insisted that luscious locks require as much looking after as polished skin.
The French-born hair pro said that you need to make up for the damage caused by styling and colouring your hair with a little TLC.
"You have to treat your hair like your skin - the lab that develops my products is a skincare lab. If you style your hair daily, colour it and backcomb it, then you need products that care," he said.
