Chris Hemsworth felt sorry for his wife having to deal with his "inconsistent and irrational" moods when losing weight for his latest movie role.
The actor played the title role in the Marvel Studios film Thor last year. He bulked up for the role of the superhero, but later had to slim down for his most recent role as Eric the Huntsman in upcoming film Snow White and the Huntsman.
Chris felt sorry for his wife Elsa Pataky while changing up his eating habits.
"For Thor, it was a lot of time in the gym and a lot of eating, then for Snow White, I ended up losing about 15kg for the role. I gotta say, it was easier putting it on than losing it, because to do it, you're underfed and over-trained," he told the UK issue of Glamour magazine.
"I had to get the weight down and a number of times my wife was like, 'Eat something!', because the moods she had to deal with - I've never been more inconsistent and irrational in my life. It makes you realise that the chemical imbalance that goes on within your body and that psychotic sort of reaction that kicks in."
Chris is set to reprise his role as Thor in the upcoming films The Avengers in 2012 and Thor 2 in 2013.
