Claire Danes has joked Narciso Rodriguez is her "fairy godfather".
The actress is good friends with many designers but Rodriguez holds a special place in her heart. The Hollywood star has known the designer for many years and accredits him to much of upbringing.
"I love Miuccia Prada and I've known Narciso Rodriguez since I was 16, he's like my fairy godfather and gave me an education in how to be a lady," Claire told the latest edition of InStyle magazine.
Danes was lucky enough to grow up surrounded by other influential men in fashion. Zac Posen and the actress lived in the same neighbourhood when she was younger. "He's a sweetie," the Homeland star gushed.
The expectant mother is famed for starring in Baz Luhrmann's film Romeo + Juliet when she was just 16. Even after nearly 20 years of experience, Danes still confessed to having a slight fear of the red carpet.
"There is something scary about a red carpet," Danes explained. "It's a separate job but one that I've learned to appreciate."
One thing that Danes is not fearful of is taking red carpet photos. She loves how the stars can be prepared for the photographs. "They're different from a stolen paparazzi shot- everyone's participating and it's about fashion," she said.
