Colour-pop dresses were big at the Elle Style Awards yesterday.
Kate’s dress showed Stella’s talents off to perfection, boasting intricate embroidery and a structured bustier top.
English fashion designer Stella walked away with the best international designer prize, which Kate proudly presented to her.
Kate has been busy recently, juggling her film career with spending time with rocker fiancé Matt Bellamy and her children Ryder and Bingham.
Despite her busy schedule, she hoped to plan her wedding to the Muse frontman soon.
“We’ve been working so much and travelling that we want to spend as much time with the kids as possible,” she explained to British newspaper The Daily Mail.
“Eventually we will get married. I don’t know what, when, where or how. We’ve got a 19-month-old baby, a nine-year-old son, he’s touring, I’m working...”
An extra splash of colour was added to the actress’ frock thanks to a fuchsia panel at the back.
UK singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor also injected some colour into proceedings thanks to a pink and red strapless floral dress.
On the other end of the spectrum, Stella and Chloë Grace Moretz picked black and white for the event.
The designer wore a white shirt and black cape, while the young actress picked a dress by Stella featuring monochrome stripes.
The 16-year-old star walked away with the next future icon award, while Christopher Kane picked up the best British designer prize.
Other guests of honour included the Oscar-nominated Bradley Cooper, who looked dapper in a blue designer suit as he was named best actor.
“Bradley is an incredibly popular and accomplished actor whose work resonates across a wide audience. And he is a personality many designers would love to dress,” said Elle UK Editor-in-Chief Lorraine Candy.
