The sister of Londonderry’s Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle says she was flattered to be named as the face of a new hair product.

After a photo shoot for the company’s website, Rachael Coyle was asked to became the face of Verlocke, whose new hair extensions product has been brought to Ireland by a Derry-based company.

Speaking from Los Angeles, where her sister has established a base, Rachael said: “I am very excited about the new campaign.

“I was extremely flattered when they approached me about becoming the face of the campaign for the new product launch.

"I jumped at the chance and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience of modelling so far. I intend to put in 100%.”

Her sister Nadine was recently reported to have planned to open a series of shops selling candles, and has already opened a restaurant in Los Angeles.

This has led to speculation that she may quit Girls Aloud and go solo.

But she was recently reported to have said: “LA is my home now because all my family are in the States.”
