Dakota Fanning looked chic in midnight blue at the Sundance Film Festival yesterday.

The 18-year-old dressed head to toe in Louis Vuitton to promote her film Very Good Girls at the event in Park City, Utah.

The recently-dyed blonde picked a dark navy shade for her top and skirt ensemble, broken up by a little flash of midriff.

The young actress flattered her petite frame in the plain, sleeveless shirt and matching skirt with shimmering embroidery.

Black tights and classy shoe-boots elongated her legs and finished off her elegant look.

The star kept her hair straight and unfussy, adding only a slick of red lipstick for a splash of colour.

Dakota has fast become a style icon in Hollywood thanks to her love of experimenting with new styles.

However, the young star also has famous fashionistas she looks up to.

"Kate Moss has that I-just-rolled-out-of-bed-but-look-amazing style, which never works out when I try it," she gushed to British magazine more!

"But sometimes I can see a girl on the street in a jacket that I become fixated on and have to buy."

As well as buying expensive fashion labels, Dakota knows how to spot a vintage bargain.

"I love Marc Jacobs, Alexander Wang and Marni," she listed.

"I also like to pick up antique lockets that have been turned into rings at places like Liberty."
