Dionne Bromfield once refused to wear an outfit for a photoshoot because she "wouldn't even wear it to bed".
The songstress shot to fame after becoming the first singer to be signed to godmother Amy Winehouse's Lioness label in 2009.
Now 16-years-old, Dionne knows her signature sound and style, but admits at the beginning finding her feet was difficult.
"I did a photo shoot once and they were trying to make me wear clothes I didn't want to wear," she recalled.
"I was like, are you serious? I wouldn't even wear this to bed! They were okay when I said no though."
Dionne doesn't feel pressured to wear more revealing outfits to get noticed. The star wants people to appreciate her singing talent first and foremost.
"Times have changed a lot but I do think when you're a certain age there's a limit to what you can wear. I would never be one of these singers who go walking around in a bikini on stage - that's wrong," she told the UK edition of OK! magazine.
"I want to be noticed for my talents - like Adele or Jessie J."
